Stella E. Mullins, 95, of Pineville, WV, devoted Christian, cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. Her departure from this world leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on April 24, 1928, to the late Blanche and Elvie Tabor, in Crumpler, WV, Stella's life was a testament to faith, love, and service. From an early age, she embraced her Christian beliefs, finding strength and solace in her relationship with God.
Stella's life was marked by selflessness and devotion. She was a member of the Twin Branch Pentecostal Church in Davy, WV, where her husband served as pastor for several years. After his retirement, Stella continued her spiritual journey at the Rockview Pentecostal Tabernacle in Pineville until her declining health. Recently, she found solace and inspiration by listening to the services of Rockcastle Baptist Church on the radio, where her son serves as pastor.
Stella found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to cook, delighting her family and friends with her delicious meals. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, where she spent countless hours. Stella's talents extended to canning, crocheting, and could often be found fishing, particularly at her second home on Moncove Lake, a place that brought her much happiness over the years.
Stella was a devoted wife to the late Silas Sr. and a loving mother to her children. Her youngest son, Terry Wayne, preceded her in death. She is survived by her dedicated son, Silas Jr., and his wife, Peggy. Stella's grandchildren, Ashley Smith and Kara Shupe and her husband, Greg, were the joy of her life. She also adored her precious great-granddaughters, Allison Shupe and Grayson Smith. Additionally, she is survived by a step-granddaughter, Ericka Blankenship, and her husband, Robert. Stella leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever be cherished by her family.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her Heavenly Father. Though she may no longer walk among us, her body is healed, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace.
The family would like to Thank the staff of Wyoming Healthcare in New Richmond for the loving care given to Mrs. Mullins over the past few months.
